John 5:1-14
The man in the text has had been sick for 38 years. This man lived trusting that God will heal him for this long! Many of us have not yet learned the art of waiting on God. Many of us need to learn that art of patience.
As we meet in our churches many people are believing God, as the year is coming to an end many of us have not yet seen the things that we have been praying for but we must hold on to God.
When a miracle takes long it is possible to get frustrated and pray a frustrated prayer
You have been waiting for that miracle for a long time but today I came to tell you that Jesus is about to pass your way! Maybe people in your family don't even count on you but from today you shall be lifted from the valley of frustration!
Seven things we learn about this man are;
1. He was found in a place of the rejected.
In life people will look at you to be a common person but Jesus is coming to change you status from a kwachanaire to a billionaire in dollars! People knew that you are going no where but not in 2012! 2011 has left you on a wheelchair but 2012 will see you going through a breakthrough! We are all born common but who we meet along the way is important! If we meet Jesus we will move from being common to being special and uncommon! In 2012 things are changing! You anointing will bring a demacation between you and the people in the world!
2. This man had been in bondage for 38 long years
This man had been sick longer than Jesus was alive but he patiently waited for the blessing of the living God
3. This man had been lying in this position for a long time
He was strenghtless this man, even that when the angel stirred the water he found it hard to jump in the water and that moment passed him by. Sometimes you will find that at the time of your rising strength is gone! You may have all the brilliant ideas but strength might not be there to lift you higher! I declare the strength of God to posses your life! This man was lying down for a long time! Strength had left him, strength had left him but Jesus made his strengthless vision to gain strength. in 2012 strength is coming to your side.
Many big companies are supporting foolish artists to stage foolish shows but never once do they produce money to support people who are in need of school fees? No! Strength has left the church! We need to start supporting each other as a church! Church is a place to find solace and strength!
4. His condition around him was not conducive.
5. When Jesus appeared he did not know that his helper had come.
At that pool there were many people at the pool of bethesda who needed healing but God specifically located that lame man! Your helper for 2012 will locate you
6. Jesus restored him by telling him to take up his mat and go! Your restoration shall come quickly!
7. Miracles began to follow him. When miracles begin to follow you people will talk about you! May God give you a blessing that will cause people to talk about you.
May you see the favor of God in 2012! When God blesses you even people will talk! When God blesses you, people begin to talk! You are not yet blessed until people start talking about you! Get ready for people to talk when God blesses you
